The Den at Whitefield, Bangalore represents the maiden overseas investment of the Dan Hotel Group of Israel. It is designed to be a sanctuary of greenery, daylight and open-ness in the rapidly growing concrete mass of Whitefield.
It place its guests in the midst of expansive open spaces filled with greenery and differentiate itself on a sensory level in a city where open space, greenery and daylight itself has become a meagre commodity. This is achieved by going vertical to minimise the above ground footprint of the building and house the service areas in the below ground levels.
To differentiate itself from the rest of Whitefield’s built context, the hotel is wrapped with structural glazing in a composition of bronze and neutral glass which contrasts against the bluish green glazing of the surrounding buildings.
