Located in the heart of the upcoming Punggol Digital District, the new Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) campus is set to reinforce SIT’s position as a industry-focused university of applied learning. It will be co-located with the industries to foster collaboration and exchange of ideas with the industry professionals.
The campus also boast of several unique design and sustainability features. Overlooking the waterfront, the campus employed Passive Displacement Ventilation for the auditorium and lecture theatres with naturally ventilated group learning spaces. In addition, the canteen block is built using MET (mass engineered timber) which is a greener material than typical steel and concrete, as well as helps make the construction process more productive.
The academic blocks will encompass green spaces and open courtyards, creating community spaces for interaction and rejuvenation, as well as a memorable campus experience.
