Dover MRT Station

The construction of the Dover Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station is an engineering feat. Rising 21 metres above ground, it is the first time a station is built above an operational train line in Singapore.

Efficient design and practical construction methods were used to overcome the challenges of working within busy multi-lane carriageways and over an operational train route. Land take was minimised and utility diversions were avoided.

Stainless steel columns reach up to the station’s distinctive curved roof, offering an airy, spacious feel. The result is a train station that is both a transport facility and an urban landmark.
