Ready for Resorts World Sentosa 2.0!
14 January 2020
We are reimagining spaces for Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa as the lead architect of its S$4.5-billion mega expansion project.
In 2010, when Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) opened its doors as one of just two integrated resorts in Singapore, it irrevocably altered the leisure and entertainment landscape. Now, nine years later, it is ready to shake things up again—this time, with us.
We have been appointed as the Lead Architectural Qualified Person for the resort’s mega transformation and expansion project, dubbed “RWS 2.0”.
The S$4.5-billion project will expand the resort’s gross floor area by close to 50%. This will give it the space it needs to enhance existing attractions like Universal Studios Singapore and S.E.A Aquarium while introducing new offerings such as a waterfront lifestyle complex with two new destination hotels and an adventure dining playhouse. There are also plans to introduce a driverless transport system to improve in-park connectivity, among numerous other exciting works.
“In all our projects, we take a long-term and whole-of-ecosystem perspective, embrace open collaboration with our clients and stakeholders, and design spaces that enrich and transform people’s lives. I believe that RWS recognised this to be our strength, and acknowledged our proven capabilities in delivering similarly large-scale, complex projects around the world when it awarded us the bid.”
We are now working closely with RWS and its appointed consultants and contractors to progressively unveil a bigger, better and bolder RWS 2.0 to visitors from 2022.
