CapitaGreen

A green oasis within the business district

The Project

One of the greenest office buildings in the business district, it is decked with greenery on every floor, and crowned with unique wind funnels on the rooftop, channeling air into a void to help cool the ACMV system in the building. A large proportion of the double-skin building façade is covered with living green plants to reduce heat gain.

Decked with greenery on every floor

The Challenge

In spite of working within a tight site and the close proximity to train tunnels, innovative technologies and design-and-build methodology helped to shorten the construction time. For the first time, extra-large, 3.5 metre diameter bored piles are used, making critical foundation work more efficient.
