Thriving hub for China’s blue silicon valley

The Project

- At the forefront of driving China’s blue economy, the master plan for this leading silicon valley for marine industries proposes an interconnected network of five self-sufficient towns.

- Comprehensive green linkages are introduced, emphasising its natural assets like sandy beaches and hot springs.

The Challenge

- Beyond focusing on the right mix of uses and facilities to support R&D activities, the plans also looked at creating liveable and sustainable environments in harmony with its natural environment.

- Efforts were made to protect and enhance its natural assets and attractions, making this coastal city a tourist destination too.
